Art

For as long as I can remember I’ve loved drawing and painting, where much of my inspiration comes from wildlife (and admittedly my border collie too), plants and the great outdoors.

I love playing with tones and textures, whilst paying attention to the smallest detail.

Photography

Whether I’m home or abroad, I take my camera everywhere.

Taking close up shots of wildlife is by far my favourite way to photograph nature, but when it comes to architecture, distance and depth is key.

As well as nature photography, I enjoy snapping away at the ever changing landscape from the hills to the seaside (and of course, who can resist a good seaside sunset shot?)

I also try to push my skills and experiment with light, exposure and composition too.

Bee-autiful

After researching bees inside out for a university project - and discovering how blooming important they are to life on Earth - it was hard to create a buzz about bees.

So, over the years I’ve paused to photograph them anywhere and everywhere I spot them, primarily taking close up shots of them as I love to capture their fuzziness. Consequently it now means I’m a keen gardener too, and my garden is solely catered for pollinators, serving an array of bee-friendly flowers every year. At least I don’t have to travel far to see one of these bee-auties!
